Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before registering for the QShala Quiz League 2026 ("the Event"). By registering, the parent/guardian completing registration agrees to these Terms on behalf of themselves and the participating child.

1. Eligibility

  • The Event is open to students currently in Grades 4, 5, 6, or 7, studying anywhere in India.
  • Registration must be completed by a parent, legal guardian, or an authorized school representative (see Section 8 of the Privacy Policy) — not by the child directly.
  • QShala reserves the right to verify grade eligibility and to disqualify entries that do not meet eligibility criteria.

2. Registration & Fees

  • Registration is completed via our registration partner, Gradeazy, and requires payment of the applicable fee:
    • Early Bird: ₹499 (register by 5th August 2026)
    • Regular: ₹599 (5th–20th August 2026)
    • (Pricing and dates are subject to change; the current applicable pricing at the time of registration will be displayed on the Site.)
  • Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider, Razorpay. Registration is confirmed only upon successful payment.
  • QShala is not liable for any actions, services, or failures of Razorpay as the third-party payment provider.
  • Registration fees are non-transferable to another individual unless approved by QShala in writing.

3. Refund Policy

Registration fees are non-refundable except in cases where QShala cancels the Event entirely, in which case registered participants will be offered a full refund or credit toward a future QShala event, at QShala's discretion.

4. The Event Format

  • The Event consists of three weekly online quizzes (released Fridays, open through Sundays), weekly video answer discussions, and a live Grand Finale for the top 25 scorers per grade.
  • Each weekly quiz may be attempted once, within the open window, and runs for a fixed duration once started.
  • The Event schedule, quiz format, and prize structure are as described on the Site at the time of registration but may be updated by QShala as the Event evolves; material changes will be communicated to registered participants.
  • QShala reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the Event or any part of it due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (technical issues, force majeure, insufficient registrations, etc.).

5. Fair Play

  • Each quiz must be completed independently by the registered child, without external assistance intended to gain an unfair advantage.
  • QShala reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to have violated fair play expectations, at its sole discretion.

6. Prizes

  • Prizes are as described on the Site at the time of the Event and are subject to change based on availability.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Winners will be determined based on leaderboard performance and Grand Finale results, as administered by QShala. QShala's decisions regarding scoring, rankings, and prize allocation are final.

7. Event Recording & Use of Likeness

By registering, the parent/guardian acknowledges and agrees to the Event Recording, Photography & Social Media terms described in Section 5 of our Privacy Policy, including that the Event may be recorded and that names, grades, school names, leaderboard rankings, and/or likeness (photo/video) may be used in QShala's promotional and social media materials, subject to the protections and opt-out process described there.

8. Parental Responsibility

The registering parent/guardian is responsible for:

  • Ensuring the accuracy of information provided at registration
  • Ensuring the child has access to a suitable device and stable internet connection to participate
  • Supervising the child's participation as appropriate for their age

9. Limitation of Liability

QShala will make reasonable efforts to ensure the Event runs smoothly but is not liable for technical issues arising from the participant's own device, internet connection, or third-party platforms used to deliver the Event. To the fullest extent permitted by law, QShala's liability in connection with the Event is limited to the registration fee paid.

10. Changes to These Terms

QShala may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued participation in the Event after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Event shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru.
